Not quite what we had planned for the first blog!

As I write this we at a 5* beach hotel in Abu Dhabi having missed our connection to Entebbe! Don’t think anyone minds, free food, sun and a pool and big bedrooms with comfy beds. Think the youth think all their Christmas have come at once. In fact some of them are staying in the Royal Suite which is bigger than any of our houses in HW and from what I can see costs over £3k per night! Not quite what we had in mind for the first night of their trip.

Anyway all good and everyone is in good spirit’s but we have an early start tomorrow as the only way 26 of us could get to Entebbe is by touring the Middle East and Africa! First we have to catch a bus to Dubai for a 10.30 flight to Addis Adaba, Ethopia and then another flight from Addis to Entebbe where we hopefully arrive at 17.50 and will stay in Entebbe at The Boma, somewhere I know very well and they will love because it has good food and does a mean English Breakfast. Then we plan to go to church in Kampala, Watoto church which is home to Watoto children’s choirs that tour the world and are very well known. This is something we hadn’t planned but seems God is in control and he has made it part of our plan.

My mobile and email have been red hot trying to get everything sorted and as I have said everyone is safe and having fund. For lunch everyone was having luxury handmade Susi which they all thought was fun and better than rice and beans!!

Anyway signing off now and will try and update (hopefully from Uganda) tomorrow night. Time to go back to the pool and catch some more Ray’s before we meet in the Royal Suite before a gourmet dinner!
