Mothers Union
Mothers’ Union is a global Christian movement working with people of all faiths and none to develop communities, strengthen families and advocate for change. We started out as a Christian group to support mothers and families and that remains at the core of our work and guiding principles, but we welcome you to join us whoever you are – our members are not all mothers, or even all women. They are single, married, parents, grandparents, or young adults just beginning to express their social conscience. Mothers’ Union provides, for all four million members, a network through which they can serve Christ in their own community – through prayer, financial support and actively working at the grassroots level in programmes that meet local needs. Why not put your faith into action by joining us as we work together for a better world?
There is not a branch of the Mothers Union at St John’s, however a number of people at St John’s are members of the Winchester diocese group. We support church life and the village of Hartley Wintney by assisting with a variety of projects including Forget me not cafe, RAF Odiham Families Day and Bumps and Babies. Further details can be found at this web address.
